Irritated scalp, dry hair, dandruff... When your hair isn't in good health, there's sometimes no need to look very far: in most cases, the hair care products you’re using are the main cause. Find out how to make a successful hair transition by adopting natural hair care products from Cair, the hair expert.
From chemicals to clean products: making a successful hair transition
Traditional shampoos: false friends for your scalp
Most traditional hair care products, including organic shampoos, are full of chemicals such as sulfates, silicones and parabens: ingredients that are very effective against impurities, but that cause a lot of damage to the scalp. Itching, dehydrated hair, hair loss... so many negative long-term effects that you can avoid by adopting natural hair care products instead. Unlike traditional shampoos, natural hair care products contain little or no chemicals at all. Say goodbye to sulfates and silicones: they are replaced by clean ingredients that respect your hair microbiota (rice water, grape water, bamboo water, hyaluronic acid...). A much healthier composition that generally takes some getting used to.
Hair transition: before and after
A sulfate-free shampoo will not have the same creamy lather than a traditional shampoo. However, make no mistake: the latter is just as effective. You may feel that your hair is crunchier when you rinse: this is completely normal. In fact, the silicones present in most traditional shampoos disguise the damage caused by sulfates by creating a sheath around the hair: an envelope that gives the impression of soft and shiny hair, but which in reality suffocates the hair and prevents the care products from penetrating the fibers. A sulfate-free shampoo without silicones, on the other hand, doesn't hide anything. This is why you need to give your hair microbiota some time to regenerate. After a few weeks' use, you'll start to feel the benefits of your natural shampoo: your hair will be healthier, fuller and much stronger.
A 3-step hair routine
In order to give the very best to your hair, we've designed a range of natural hair care products formulated with rice water and hyaluronic acid.
Step 1: Massage your scalp with your fortifying hair serum
Designed to stimulate the vitality of your scalp, the strengthening serum is the first step in your new hair routine. Free from silicone, artificial coloring and sulfated surfactants, this natural hair care product is ideal for promoting hair growth and treating hair loss.
Apply your hair serum directly to the hair roots using the directional spray. Gently massage with your fingers to create a light emulsion: this will help detoxify your scalp and optimize the penetration of the active ingredients. Leave on for 10 to 15 minutes, or all night long if you need intensive treatment. Rinse thoroughly, then wash your hair with your natural shampoo.
Step 2: Wash your hair with your natural shampoo
Formulated with ingredients of natural origin, Cair Silicone-Free Sulphate-Free Shampoo cleans hair thoroughly and gently.
- Detangle your hair carefully
- Wet your hair to allow your natural shampoo to penetrate each fiber
- Place a dab of shampoo in the palm of your hand and lather with a little water
- Massage into your scalp without rubbing
- Finally, rinse thoroughly with clean water using a powerful jet.
Step 3: Protect your hair with your detangling conditioner mist
Last but not least: the detangling mist. As well as making detangling easier, this leave-in hair care product complements the benefits of your natural shampoo by adding vitality and shine to your hair. What's more, its slightly acidic pH and high concentration of antioxidant plant nutrients help protect your hair from environmental damage.
